Hi all, I joined the forum a day or so ago and have found it to be very useful. I have recently ordered myself a Vintage Model Works 46" RAF Crash Tender. it's my first boat but I have built a few aircraft over the years so hope that will help me. I have already gained some useful tips from the build blogs etc. and I'm sure I will be asking for lots of help and advice, thanks everyone, Ian.

Hi all, joined the forum just over a week ago.
I have a billings White Star Rc boat which I am re furbishing. The boat is about 15 yrs old and been sat on a shelf in the garage for most of that time.

Hi I am from Boston, and have two Remote control lobster boats, but I use your site for building scale boats, and now currently building the bluenose, Around Boston there is only 1 club that is far away, plus in the USA everything is going away from built to manufactured ready to go. I enjoy seeing and building a model from scratch they way it was years ago, we have a long snow season.Enjoy reading everything, from across pond I can see you people do a great job. Hi All, stumbled on this site, probably pressed the wrong key in Google!. Been a boat modeller forever but always learning something new. it's a great read and an interesting site so hope I'll get round to chatting to loads of you in time, for the moment just seeing how it all works

I have recently inherited my Dad's 1960's Aerokits Sea Commander still in its original state with 3.5cc diesel IC and his own self-designed and scratch-built electrics. This is the boat that won the "M.P.B.A. R/C Speed Championship 3.5cc" in 1963. I would love to convert it to electric motor and modern r/c, preferably without destroying any vintage interest it may have, and see it running again but I think I'm going to need a lot of advice as I am a complete modelling novice. Hoping to show it on the South Manchester Model Boat Club stand at Haydock next weekend.

Been away a long time but am bow coming back. Not able to even get out as hips are shot ,Long story Hoping this year will be the year I can walk again I have two boats ready to go. Both plastic One is a Pilot boat but don't know what type but seems to be a Vosper or Thorneycroft. The other is speed boat with twin screws I also intend to build and convert a flower class corvette HMAS Snowberry from a Revell plastic kit. And build another Vic Smeed Skimmer. A 3 pontoon air driven hydroplane This time with radio. Maybe electric. Heres hoping Regards John

I've been away from model boating for some 25-30 yrs now! But having completed my model tugboat I decided to look for a website regarding model boats. I guess I've found a new home! you guys are awesome and thanks for the help in the forum... 👍

As I moved to Devon just over two years ago I am currently not a member of a club or have my workshop up and running. I have a substantial fleet of all types of boat and will hopefully get back into restoration and new models as well as getting my substantial fleet back to operational status.
The SITE allows me to keep in touch with current modellers and offer an association help where I can.
