Das Boot was based on the book of the same name by Lothar-Günther Buchheim.
He was a War Reporter (member of Propagandakompanie (PK)) attached to the Kriegsmarine who sailed on U96 during it's 7th patrol and unsuccessful attempt to pass the Strait of Gibraltar. His book and Wolfgang Petersen's film were based on the events of this patrol.
Das Boot has nothing whatsoever to do with Scapa Flow and the sinking of HMS Royal Oak by Gunter PriensU47.

Hi Avoca I agree, I never get nagged! Mainly because every job or question my wife asks, gets resolved immediately, it is so easy that way. You know the task will eventually get done so do it now and have a happy wife and more time for your own things

I met a lady well actually a young girl, well old enough anyway. I used to take the other side of any 'discussion' and we have been married now these 63 years.

However, she, her, my missus, worked out that if 'it', was just done, there was no argument, and I have lived with this benevolent dictatorship ever since! We settled down to what we each do best. She chooses and selects where we live, which house and holiday destinations and she is good at it too. No regrets whatever. I was a manager at work and just blended in when I got home, reading bed time stories was a treat for me.
Ah! Those were the days, our son was 60 last year and our daughter 2 years behind, so it was a long while ago.

For the most part, most are. But not all.

In the song "Waltzing Matilda", the sheep(jumbuck) stealing 'swagman' jumps into to a billabong and drowns to avoid capture by "...the troopers, one, two, three...".

Mainly a low lying area that connects two parts of the same river, usually at a bend, during floods, also the breeding ground for most native fish.

Example, OpenAI(ChatGPT) announced plans to build 30,000(?) new Data Centres in North America by 2030!

Fact.

A 1 gigawatt(GW) Data Centre, which is a very basic centre, requires the output of a top-end Nuclear Power Plant (typically ~750-900MW) to function.

In the past 30 years, the US has built less than 5 such Nuclear Power Plants.

Therefore, OpenAI, just one AI company, still has to find the equivalent of 29,995 Nuclear Power Plants worth of power, in North America alone, just to start with.

Its hype, its a scam, it can't be sustained, and communities have already had a gut-full of having these Data Centre's dropped on them.

Oh, and the current Return On Investment(ROI) on AI is about -80%, someone is going to come for their money back - real soon!

Its a Wall Street Bubble.
