The Cat Boat Scale 3/4”= 1’.
This is my Catboat (alternate spelling: cat boat).
I made this for my son to have on his house.
When I bought this old model from EBay for little money but took me lots of hours to turn it the way it looks.
Is a sailboat with a single sail on a single mast set well forward in the bow of a very beamy and (usually) shallow draft hull. Typically they are gaff rigged, though Bermuda rig is also used. Most are fitted with a centreboard, although some have a keel.
The hull can be 12 to 40 feet long with a beam half as wide as the hull length at the waterline.
The type is mainly found on that part of the Eastern seaboard of the USA from New Jersey to Massachusetts.

Friendship Sloop 1:12 scale
This my version of the Friendship sloop, also known as a Muscongus Bay sloop or lobster sloop, is a gaff-rigged working boat design that originated in Friendship, Maine around 1880 and has survived as a traditional-style sailboat.
This build is from an old Laughing Whale model and was given to me by the son of a great model builder that has passed away.
I know that this kit is r/c friendly but I did it as a static model.
Everything from the rub rails up is entirely scratch built. The Eagle figure head was hand sculpted.
Again I hope the model is to you guys’ liking.

Saving this one for inspiration. I have that kit in very early construction and after many years it is suffering from multiple moves, no space to build and multiple moves. Will have more space soon and fewer distractions.

Yours is a beautifully built model, which would be proud o any mantel or display shelf!

Won't get that in the back of the average family saloon, plus a couple of strong mates to help with the launch 👍

I am continuing to try to learn the way this forum is properly used. I want to publish here my photos of the construction of my sailboat Carina from scratch that I am publishing here. I will limit myself to photos that are useful to get a general view of the topics I am publishing

Trying to learn to use this forum properly I am publishing a video that shows an experiment I did to find out how fast the stepper motor could turn. I am using in my model of the sailboat Carina 2 stepper motors like the one shown in the video to work as a winch to control the position of the sails in a system solution where I am realizing this my own way to implement the sheets as shown on the original sailboat Endeavour. This requires my sheet control system to control the length of the sheet of the mainsail i.e. over a range of 8.3 meters. This requires the drum which is turned by the stepper motor to make 21 full turns. Details will be published in my report from scratch of building my Carina.

Marblehead all set to go
The owners of this sailboat are putting it in the water today after nearly a year in the repair shop. Should go like a graceful greyhound.

I will post more photos as they come to me.

Ready go sailing! Added a Robbe sail winch and HS-322HD. Chose not to make a continuous loop for the winch but decided upon a single elastic sheet line which keeps tension on the winch w/o getting twisted up under the spools.
