This is the fifth of the six sisters of the isle of Man Steam Packet Company, entered service in 1952 and scrapped in 1980. it is built on a Metcalf Models hull, and the superstructure is scratch-built from styrene. Fittings are a mix of scratch and purchased. it is powered by 2 Electronize motors with 2 ESC's by EA Electronics, has a smoke unit from Harbor Models controlled by a Viper ESC, a sound system from Model Sounds inc of Ontario, and powered by NiMH batteries. it is also fitted with a working bow rudder and lights, all controlled from a Robbe F14 Navy radio fitted with 2 twin sticks. Preferred sailing location is Lake Lisgar in Tillsonburg, Ontario.

SemI Kit, I.e fibreglass hull and superstructure and wooden rubbing strake all the rest is scratch built. A very good sailer and very stable. Quick to build only a month and powered by 540motor and 35mm prop. Lasted for hours on one charge.

Here's a few more pics showing my home made winch from a Lego 9volt motor unit which is controlled by a servo and two micro switches. This boat is scratch built on a Fiberglass Hull. The Lily was one of two ferries built in 1900. Her sister ship was the Rose.
The superstructure of the model is largely light-ply and paneled to resemble the orginal. She had an open top deck and as you can see the navigation pods were open to the weather.
A semaphore signal arm was included as radio was not yet used to communicate with each other on the Mersey.
The model is approx1/48 scale and built from a couple of photos and sketches that exist. She is powered by two 340 electric motors and controlled with 2.4ghz radio. A 12 volt battery gives the power. Both decks are individually planked.
She has sailed at Hoylake.

Another damaged fiberglass hull rescued. every thing else made by me. At 3/4"=1' a very big model. Completed 2012 but only sailed twice, a very good sailor just needs a big lake. The mast lifts & folds forward after removing the hatch. The top mast lowered, the bowsprit retracted and the sails raped around the shrouds, held in place with masking tape. ( this stops the lines from tangling.) Takes about 5 minutes to reassemble.

Mobil Marine fibre glass hull, 545 motor, 6 volt 4 amp GelCel battery. I believe it is Gaff Rigged Cutter. That is all I know about this boat as I bought it second hand in 2013

Built from a Traplet plan 2012, all wood construction with plank- on-frame hull. 385 direct drive motor with 3 blade prop, Mtronics 10amp speed controller and 8x AA 1600m/a batteries wired in parallel.

This is a Chris Brown fibreglass hull for Cariad, it was a reject so Chris let me have it cheep. I like to be different so I built it as Spray of Newport. Sailed well on internal ballast only just adjust the rig to suit the conditions. Two sail arm servo one on main other on fore sails. Rudder controlled from under the deck by servo 3. The westerman ( who sails the boat for the pilot) holds the tiller which moves his arm. A forth servo pulls a string passing up his leg through his arm which is a spring. When the spring is compressed the arm waves in a random way. ( the idea came from the toy animal on a stand when the bottom of the stand is pushed in the animal falls down.)

HI this was my winter project the hull was given to me by my son who got it at a car boot sale it had been on fire as it was driven by a petrol engine in now has twin brushless motors with 45mm props but going to put 50mm props on when they come as it needs a little bit more speed Built from a set of plans this my first go at this as I build from kits in the past cabins made out of 3mm/1.5m ply and some 1.5mm balsa wood . Hull was sprayed and the deck and cabins brushed with enamel paint.

Model interiors fitted out with tables chairs people etc and 72 leds light to Illuminate the interior saloons.
Just completed and maiden voyage on Hoylake Lake on the Wirral.
2.4Ghz radio and a bilge pump just in case. Sails a treat with 100 passengers. Extensive use of plasticard on superstructure. Fibreglass hull from own mould.
