Brede’s, Mersey & Watson
This week at Little Radford MBC we had two versions of RNLB Inner Wheel, RNLB The Princes Royal (Civil Service No41) and RNLB Elizabeth Rippon out and about they were accompanied by an Aerokits Diva and a RNLI Jet Ski.
I didn’t get the phone position quite right for the best quality photos.

MV Overchurch Sea Trials
First time in the water for my 1/48 scratch built model of MV Overchurch Mersey Ferry. No extra ballast required and she responded well to the transmitter.

    Hi David,
Nice model, good that she doesn't need any ballast, presumably it's because she is relatively beamy. You are lucky to have somewhere to sail her, there's nowhere open around me.

Not known when I got it she was a wreck, and I am still refurbishing her,I was told that it was in a garden for over 4 1/2 yrs uncovered in Scotland so I set about bringing her back to near on original state she was first in

HINDERTON MERSEY FERRY
YET ANOTHER FERRY BOAT.
THE MODEL WAS BUILT BY MYSELF IN 2008 ON A FIBREGLASS HULL FOR WHICH I AM PART OWNER OF THE MOULD. THE REST OF THE MODEL IS BUILT FROM LITEPLY AND PLASTICARD. BEING WIDE BEAM AND SHALLOW DRAUGHT THESE MODELS SAIL WELL AND REQUIRE NO BALLAST APART FROM THE JELLY BATTERY.
IT IS TWIN SCREW AND TWIN RUDDER SO IS VERY MANOUVERABLE.

Something Different
1. Tea Clipper in Whisky bottle.
2. IOM Steam, Packet Lady of Mann, in glass case.
3. IOM Steam Packet, Ben My Chree, in glass case.
4. Mersey Ferry Bidston in glass case.

Never destined to go in the water these four are part of my static collection, sorry guys, but it does say "Anything Else" "Something Different". Just be thankful I didn't put them in Boats in Harbour.

Ellan Vannin
Different from my usual models this is a static model in a glass case but a model boat never the less. it was made to commemorate the centenary of the foundering of the isle of Man Steam Packet vessel Ellan Vannin in the Queens Channel on the River Mersey Liverpool UK on 3rd December
1909 with the loss of all lives. The model is constructed almost entirely from scrap cardboard. She is presently on display in the Crosby Coastguard station but this is closing soon so the models fate is in the balance.
She was made to be displayed at the commemoration ceremony on board a Mersey Ferry in December 2009.
