Here are some pictures of my new tug boat under construction. it is almost finished. I made some changes to make the tug look like a Turkish tug around 1930's. Her Turkish name is Kalender. Original kit is 1/30 scale Panart Anteo model, 890 mm long.

This is a Chris Brown fibreglass hull for Cariad, it was a reject so Chris let me have it cheep. I like to be different so I built it as Spray of Newport. Sailed well on internal ballast only just adjust the rig to suit the conditions. Two sail arm servo one on main other on fore sails. Rudder controlled from under the deck by servo 3. The westerman ( who sails the boat for the pilot) holds the tiller which moves his arm. A forth servo pulls a string passing up his leg through his arm which is a spring. When the spring is compressed the arm waves in a random way. ( the idea came from the toy animal on a stand when the bottom of the stand is pushed in the animal falls down.)

Just some footage of my weathered Model Slipways Puffer - now some years old but still cruisin'. Still appreciating the model and is one of my favourites. One day I'll build a puffer at 1/32nd. but for now this does very well.
Easy build but lots of opportunities to add detail. This has all the bells and whistles (well 'steam' whistle, smoke generator and puffer engine sound at least). Would fit in a briefcase but still able to stay afloat against the wash of bigger boats or blustery winds. Surprisingly, steers well when going astern. Speed with supplied motor about 2mph ' but this is faster than scale by a margin.

HI this was my winter project the hull was given to me by my son who got it at a car boot sale it had been on fire as it was driven by a petrol engine in now has twin brushless motors with 45mm props but going to put 50mm props on when they come as it needs a little bit more speed Built from a set of plans this my first go at this as I build from kits in the past cabins made out of 3mm/1.5m ply and some 1.5mm balsa wood . Hull was sprayed and the deck and cabins brushed with enamel paint.

I have bought it from Robbe in Germany. it is 7 years old and it is working very well. There are two brushed motor and navy ESC from Robbe. I use it to drive some lake and pool in my city.

Just nearly finished my sea queen and had one outing and it did all I wanted. Scale speed and very plesed with it. Standard motor and 12 volt battery. it was last winters project but only just finished. My 1st motor boat as my others are sail.

This model of the tourist attraction in Liverpool a few years ago.Sadly after a couple of mishaps all four have been withdrawn from service. The model however survives. it was scratch built from photos and site visits by myself (Max Ferrie).There were no plans available. it is about 28inches long and roughly 1/12 scale.It was built almost entirely from plywood. As you will see from video it operates on land and water. it is six wheel drive using differentials on all wheels. When in water it is prop drive. it has two small electric motors for power, the wheel drive being very low gearing (too low really it goes very slow on ground). it was completed in 2010, and is filmed sailing at the portable pond at Toys For Boys in Waterloo in 2010. it has sailed at Hoylake MBC also.
It is powered by two 6volt 4AH batteries in series to give 12volts.

Scratch built 1/48 scale Mersey ferry Snowdrop in current use on the Mersey (ex Woodchurch)
Model interiors fitted out with tables chairs people etc and 72 leds light to Illuminate the interior saloons.
Just completed and maiden voyage on Hoylake Lake on the Wirral.
2.4Ghz radio and a bilge pump just in case. Sails a treat with 100 passengers. Extensive use of plasticard on superstructure. Fibreglass hull from own mould.

Bourbon Orca is an anchor handling vessel based in Bergen.
The owners and builders wouldn't let me have a set of lines, so, I designed this myself on Delftship from photos available on the web.

The hull is plank on frame, driven by twin 900 size motors off 12v. She has an action twin esc and mixer which enables her to pivot on her own axis without the need to use the bowthruster
