Is this a SEA QUEEN ?

HI Davet
This is very similar to the Tarpon that was produced, by Model Maker plans service, about the same time as the original Aerokits range. Seaspray has shown a pic of the Sea Queen and I am attaching a pic of the Tarpon.
The Taycol Supermarine was a powerful engine but generates a great deal of radio interference especially for 27Mhz and 40Mhz sets. They can be reversed and there is a dedicated site to the Taycol range, just Google and discover how to make the motor reverse with a modern ESC. As they use an electromagnet for the field coils just reversing the polarity doesn't work.

Is this a SEA QUEEN ?

HI Davet
I have seen a boat like this on another web site(modeboats.com or model mayhem).
I believe it is an English model from the 1950-60's.

Is this a SEA QUEEN ?

HI Davet

Firstly welcome to the forum, your model is definitley not a sea queen, they had a shorter fore deck and the forward cabin roof curved right down to the foredeck, your boat is from the same era but for the life of me I cant remember the name.

Yours is a much rarer model not seen one for years, may of the sea queens are reproduction kits.

Sorry cant help further

Is this a SEA QUEEN ?

I recently purchased the model motor boat shown in the phtos. It is 50 inc hes long with a beam of 10 inches
It is powered by a TAYCOL SUPERMARINE electric motor which is in very good condition. It didn't have RC installed and as a straight line sailer. I a adding rudder control and a simple speed contol
When I look at photos of SEA QUEEN model boats it apears to me the boaT I have is a SEA QUEEN as the hull design appeears to be the same.
Could this be a SEA QUEN model boat from the 1950s ???
