Chief Petty Officer 1st Class
My Top 10 RC Boats and Ships for 2017
Travelled around quite a few shows this year and caught some great action of some superb models on water. Compiled into one relatively short vid. Filmed in UltraHD / 4K resolution. Looking forward to catching a lot more boat action in 2018. Enjoy !

Skiff update
The seats are all installed and soon it will be time to sand, but with temperatures of -21C in the garage shop area where the power belt sander is located, the job of sanding will wait a bit.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a small outboard motor?

So glad to have this scrollsaw in the shop which has made cutting the bottom boards a very easy task. I cut the chines from Ash using this saw too with a fine blade. Look closely and there is a plexiglass cover on the table to give me a zero clearance around the blade hole, thus keeping small parts from falling under the table. A shop vac is attached to draw away the fine dust that this machine produces. My lungs are greatful too.🤓

Good looking model and interesting looking book. I like the plexiglass idea, bits that fall are seldom found!

Bought one of these years ago. Another project I really need to progress. Seeing the built item confirms that it does make into a realistic model

Ionia
Ionia is a modified 1980s kit, the video was taken at a abandoned hospital with DJI Phantom 3 standard.

It's not meant to be accurate and by no means a scale representation of Ionia but I agree about the starboard lean and will be corrected. Have a subwaterfilms on YouTube. The weight problem I don't think can be rectified but in future we will take this into account.
Thank you for your feedback and merry Christmas Alex and Joe

Ionia
The model was bought off eBay as a barely started kit from the 80s and was called Ontario. it was a basic model with no detail and so we decided to make it into a tugboat it had a huge resemblance with called Ionia.👍👍👍😊
