Beautiful scale models and nice helmsmanship also. I wish I could attend such an event.

Hi Who makes this boat and what is it made out of. I have a boat it was made by Model flight Accessories in Deal Kent England. The hull look the same but the deck is different. Mine is made from ABS Plastic. The size of it is 570mm long, with a 230mm beam.

    Hello Boatshed

This model was from a kit manufactured by DPI Leisure industries in the USA, almost the same construction,
and as far as I know, not in business any more with the modelling side of things.
That Piranha is a superb model and even better when coupled with an otznot brushless and 4s I know I have one here

Unusual and fun
Not your everyday RC boat. I suspect a rowing boat...especially a dual rowing boat takes quite a bit of engineering !

Good to see models that will attract the younger generation as well as amuse us of more senior years. Thanks for sharing

Solent Class Lifeboat "Douglas Currie"
so here is the long awaited video of my scratch built Solent Class lifeboat based on the vintage Aerokits plans purchased on ebay. Sailed today for the 1st time and went like a dream, so pleased with it.

Very realistic and nicely sailed model. The Solent Class were not fast afloat boats and had a max speed of about 9 knots so its nice to see a scale model sailing at a realistic speed.
Well done and thanks for sharing the build and final on the water video

I quite agree Dave, the MFA 850 motors at 4/5ths chat push her along at a very pleasing and hopefully realistic speed. Ive enjoyed this build and had alot of pleasure posting myn progress, hopefully its been enjoyed by all and if its given anyone else some inspiration, even better.

Please feel free to watch my Vosper RTTL build elsewhere! kind regards simon

'VOYAGER of the SEAS' RC Cruise Ship
Paul Chilcott built this stunning floating replica of the 'Voyager of the Seas' in under 12 months. The hull was carved from a single block of blue foam. The detail on this cruise ship is remarkable and even features a climbing wall, 'flow rider' and outside cinema just as the full size vessel. Commentary provided by Steve Dean.

MS Voyager of the Seas is the lead ship of the Voyager-class of cruise ships operated by Royal Caribbean international.

I saw it, and spoke to Paul the builder at the Warwick show last week. its a truly amazing model, which you never seem to run out of details to see. A real credit to an amazing builder. Best wishes, Dave W 😊

Truly captures the look of the real model. The detail is very good and it is a credit to Paul that the model actually sails with all the cabin etc detail above the waterline, the sign of a real master of his craft.

These are built for the owners and are the only ones in existence. My friend Bob in California built them and many others. Just a sample of his work.
