Appears to be from the late 70s 80s, thought I'd seen it in one of my old Model boats mags but couldn't place it. Here's a cover pic from a 2002 mag of the later racing version, (might be the same hull with a different top?) The original's a nice looking model. Might have superseded the Commodore?

Good evening Jim, I couldn't agree more, as long as we like our models, a bit of intrigue helps as a conversation starter.
Please tell us if you do find the answer. Happy sailing, stay safe and well, cheers Colin.

Hi Colin, thank you for your interest. l have had a good look around the inside trouble is a previous owner has given it a coat of paint internally, any makers marks have been covered up.
I,m going to look at it this way, sometimes its nice to have a little bit of mystery l have no doubt that l will have it out on the side of the lake and somebody will come up and say, l had one of those it was called a ?????.
Stay safe mate, jim.

Well Jim, I searched as many places I can think of but the boat is still a mystery to me.
Although it looks like a ready to run boat as opposed to being a kit, I have a couple in my collection but they are from the 60's and 70's, yours looks to be probably late nineties onwards.
Are there any makers marks, logos or numbers anywhere inside.
It's a lovely looking boat whatever it is, cheers Colin.

Hi colin l took a picture of the internals not much there two motors and one ESC and the connecting wiring. its made of plastic with a few plywood pieces to stiffen up the hull and super structure. l did find printed on one of the batteries " Sea wolf " I,ve put that into Google comes up with submarines. Im wondering wether its one of the early RC boats to have come out of china or hongkong.

Yes I agree, just looked at the pictures of the marauder again. Do you think it's a kit or scratch built? What is the hull made of, plastic, grp or ply?
