Hi Rick,
We did similar, on Christmas Day we Skyped our family and opened presents too.
It felt so different.
This modern technology has certainly been something to be thankful for this year.

Boxing day turned out to a very good day as we saw our grandchildren for the first time since the shut down 8 months ago.Eldest son set up a zoom time for his family and his brothers family to see and chat with us yesterday.We were able to watch them open presents and tell us how they were doing what Santa brought them.
I know many others are in the same boat.
This was the first Christmas we where not able to sit face to face with our sons and families to celebrate together.
This year was a good Christmas next year will return for a great Christmas.
