Looks as if I've been to the lake for the last time for a while, if not next year. We go into lockdown this evening and the lake is in a different lockeddown area. Pleased we went yesterday even though it was a bit of a disaster. Took the Dutch Schouw, but when I got there had misgivings as there was a lot of wind. Put her in and she reached nicely back and fore across the lake. However she was getting very wet, several knockdowns and I decided to get her out. She wouldn't answer at all. OK, she'll blow down wind and end up on the apron where we launch, but did she, oh no, she sailed herself in short tacks the complete length of the lake where the indomitable Alice was waiting to grab her. On examination, we decided that the receiver had got too wet.
Goodbye lake, see you again one day.
Cheers , Nerys
