Now we know where Martin`s enthusiasm for the oddity has gone. Marky has caught it.
Looks great Marky.👍👍

Then again, I just googled the term and they’re sold over here too. Guess I just led a sheltered life🤣

Guess it’s because I’m on the other side of the pond that I’ve never, ever heard the term “Gentlemen’s saw”. Razor saw, Zona saw, that I’ve heard. Learn something new every day!!

So continuing with the zero budget raked around and found a couple of old rattle cans ,Peugeot silver (don't know where this came from ,never had a silver car) and a bit of a can of Renault Black, the control consul a wee touch of glow in the dark paint (that's the two Black photos with the greenish blobs ).
Cheers Marky 👍

RE RE:- a gentleman's saw"

I once asked a chap I knew (who was a bit of a card) and owned a garage, if he worked on Saturday mornings, and he said "goodness no, I keep gentlemens' hours"😁 Probably from the same gentlemens' toolbox Doug.

Started on the cockpit ,decided that Sharknado needed a pilot ,cant have a one man sub without "one man", pilot was acquired from grandson's box of trained killers ,a quick piece of surgery with a gentleman's saw and a change of uniform hey presto "Fin Tempest" the square jawed younger brother of Troy, WASP stealth fighter sub Sharknado's pilot .

Decided the underside didn't look quite right so blocked in the front and shaped it to be more aerodynamic (waterdynamic) ,tail and pectoral fins added .

Hi Red , I think they must have been paying some daft money to get people to take part in these films ,I had been going to say act but that wouldn't be technically correct😂, yes Stingray etc. Very dated now but brought back fond memories .

Hi Marky ,
found the last Sharknado on you tube - cant believe they actually made six of them! Definitely excruciating by any standards - amazed at the range of actors that actually took part in the movie.

Switched to Stingray - remembered seeing that - enjoyed at the time - but definitely dated now - both in concept & style - bit like Hawaii 5 O and "book 'em Danno". Producers probably got the idea of Michael Knight & the Kit car from it.

Much prefer your model to them both.

Interesting project Marky - probably try & find Stingray & Sharknado on You Tube!
If you want really bad B movies try free movies on You Tube - when awake at odd hours of the night try them via cellphone (mobile to you) - for every reasonable one there must be at least 30 excruciatingly bad ones - makes you wonder why on earth they ever got made......... Strangely enough some of the old movies from the 30s and 40s are sometimes not too bad!

Martin its about time you got going again too - no excuses now that Marky is getting on with this new project...........

Hi marky,
You have made me very happy.
I was beginning to worry that i was a bit abnormal with a bit of a strange and twisted mind.
So seeing Sharknado taking shape made me feel much better LOL!!

It would be fun to see it going across the water.
I assume it will be a surface runner ?

Hi Marky,
Very glad to see that you are back in business😀
Where the heck can you see 'all episodes of Stingray' these days?
I well remember that from my childhood!
BTW: If you 'go Hammerhead' don't forget the extra servo to make the head twitch from side to side to 'sniff the air'!!😁
Never heard of Sharknado. Now I know why!😉
Cheers, Doug 😎

Decided to start a new project while waiting for bits and bobs to arrive .
As homage to Stingray (watched all episodes in hospital) and just using scrap and bits lying about decided to make a Gerry Anderson type sub ,looking at what was about decided on a sharkish looking sub . Main body is 6mm ply ,fins are of 3mm and 4mm MDF and some bend ply , the cockpit are old lenses from garden lights and the prop another bit of a garden light .
Not sure about the eyes 👀 May put them on stalks at the side and make it a hammerhead .
Decided on the name after watching Sharknado 1-6 with the grandson ,if you haven't seen them have a watch ,real B movie rubbish just when you think films can't get any worse they exceed all expectations .
Cheers Marky👍
