In SA major garbage problem!
Where I live there is no formal recycling and plastic carrier bags have a name here we call them Free State daisies as the Free State Province has strong winds and a lot of farming so the bag attaches itself to the barbed wire!

Totally agree shipmate, I have over the lockdown period collected 37kgs of beer and pop cans, I will weigh in when I get 50kgs, at present my local scrapyard is offering 61p per kg for flattened cans. That's £30.50p in my pocket at current prices.
Cheers Colin.

I find it the same when I go fishing. I very often end up taking rubbish away that was NOT mine. I was taught at a young age not to leave rubbish anywhere. When the bailiff comes round to check your licence then if rubbish is there when you go they automatically think it was you that left it.

Hi Colin Garbage is one of my big beefs with how people leave an area .I'm not sure they care or understand if they keep an area tidy and clean after usage that it helps everyone.

Trouble with that thought is that we very nearly lost the right to walk and enjoy the beauty of the area as a lot of townies decided to invaded and have parties and leave loads of rubbish behind.
And as it belongs to Prince Charles Duchy of Cornwall estates, they weren't very happy.
The peace is only interrupted by helicopters landing and taking off all day and night. And gunfire from the firing range at the top of the lake.
But us locals love it.
Cheers Colin.

Thank you for the pictures.Knowing that this is not the pond of before the flood. It now looks so peaceful a spot most of us would love to go to run boats.
Makes me want to pull up a chair and view the water with maybe a we spot of something.

Rick thats a good story. Its a shame that the floods we had in January weren't so funny, it was very expensive.
Anyway here's an update of my little pond. The aerial view is what it should look like, it's now 1 big lake the rest of the pictures were taken this evening from the green in the middle where the path divided the lakes originally.
Cheers Colin.

I do this post as reply to Colin telling us the pond he goes to was flooded.
Two gentlemen had not seen each other in years reminiscent on their live's and work.
The first talked about how he had a good life but now had lost everything to a fire.
The second man also said he had done well in business and that his life was good.
He said that was two days ago and now he has lost everything to a flood.
The first man asked him "How do you start a Flood"
