There are some useful articles in the 'How to' section of this website on basic wiring for the receiver, ESC and motor.

It is also worth looking in the on-site shop as it has a range of fittings for the 1/16th scale Crash Tender.

Thanks Graham. I saw the video and your boat seems to get up to quite a nice speed, not ridiculously fast and looks like it handles very well. I will see what l can source over here in Australia in terms of motor and ESC. Is there any diagrams on this site for electricals. Thanks again.

If you search the Gallery area of this website for Crash Tender, there is a video showing my boat in action so you can see the speed.

The ESC is a Turnigy Marine50. Water cooled 50A rating. The motor draws a little under 20A but it is a good idea to have some headroom in case of problems. I have a 30A fuse in the circuit. The motor gets slightly warm in use, but the ESC stays cold.

Thanks Graham for getting back to me. I had a quick look through your blog, and l must say your boat is an absolute credit to you. It's fantastic.
How many AMP ESC did you use and what brand. I don't now much about the electrics and I like the way yours is set up. How fast does it go, as the motor itself looks quite small. Sorry about all the questions, just trying to get as much info as l can.

I refurbished a 34” Crash Tender last year. You can find details of what I did if you search the blogs here for ‘ 34” Crash Tender refit’.

I replaced the original diesel with a Turnigy D3536/6 outrunner. It is powered with a 3S LiPo and fitted with a 30mm prop. It is fast, and planes easily.
