Motor reversing

Hi,
I agree with PMDevlin to a point, but on my Flower Class I used a Flysky 6ch and all I did was assign the throttle and rudder to the right (sprung) stick, by using the menus within the RX. I used the now free left stick to raise and rotate the main gun with a servo attachment. Just a simpler way, I found, to get reverse. All other points re Mtroniks, Ebay etc couldn't agree more. Also try widening the 'dead' stick positions and curves to give nice smooth throttle running. By the way I was using a 380 standard brushed motor.

Motor reversing

Hi,

so with planes you would have a throttle stick that rests at the bottom. With boats, or cars, if you want reversing, the throttle stick needs to rest in centre, and generally its best to be sprung. If you have a spare channel, that is sprung centre, such as ailerons, open the tx, and flip the centring spring mechanism to your throttle. Ive done this several times, and the cheap hobbyking/frysky tx etc are a doddle to do, or just buy a tx with sprung throttle. I converted my spekky dx6
then you will need a reversing esc, hk have them, and the mtroniks brand are simple plug and play. If using lipos, make sure they are lipo compatible👍 I was searching for reversing cheap escs last week, there are loads on ebay very cheap

Motor reversing

New to model boat building so I am into my first model build a scratch built fairy Huntsnand form Dave Milbourn plans.
The hull is coming on nicely making me think about the RC installation.
And how to reverse the motor.
As I am usually doing planes this is a now problem for me.
Any help would be appreciated
David
