Tried and checked , battery fully charged, rudders working, switches checked but still a continuous beeping. Even changed transmitter and receiver but no better. Will have another word with HobbyKing tomorrow. Thanks for all your suggestions. 👍

Don't give up just yet - it's always difficult typing suggestions when instinctively if the kit was infront of you you would just do things!

Do you have a servo tester?

Do a visual check of the 3 pin rc plug on the esc - pins look ok / seated correctly/ haven't pushed themselves out of the back of the plastic plug?

Just to confirm are you using the throttle channel on the receiver?

What is the model number of the Spektrum receiver?

I had the same trouble with the one that is now working, I just kept playing around trying every combo that included the programme card and the motor burst into life but buggered if I know the sequence that proved successful. All i can recall is the bleeping changed and hey presto. Tried moving sticks and re-setting max setting. but no joy with this fellow.

The constant beeping suggests the esc is not seeing a signal from the receiver or not one that it sees as “full” throttle.

How did you program the esc that is working - via the radio tx/Rx or the programming card?

If via the radio use the same Rx slot/channel and check that this channel has not been reversed nor has the output been restricted by the digital trims(end point adjustment)

Spectrum 7 transmitter with spectrum 5 Chanel receiver. I set them up for programming independent of each other, no cross interference.

What radio /receiver are you using?

How are the 2 ESC's connected to the receiver?

When you try to program the misbehaving ESC how is it connected to the receiver? Is the other ESC disconnected?

I am certain tx throttle is not reversed as the boat has twin props and one esc has programmed ok the procedure you described is that in turnigy leaflet and have tried in umpteen times without success. Any other ideas that I might try please?

May take me a day or so.

By memory(dangerous!) - make sure fingers are away from any props
1. Make sure your radio TX throttle channel is not reversed
2. Turn everything off
3. Turn on radio transmitter and then receiver
4. Place throttle is FULL(up) position
5. Power on esc
6. You hear dow ray me
7. You then hear 3 beeps ( beep beep beep)
8. Possibly another couple of beeps
9. After about 5 seconds you hear 4 tones - this is programming mode

10 this is all from my fading memory - I will dig out the real deal and update you

It is preparing the esc for programming not the actual programming itself (at the moment I might add)

I have some Turnigy Marine ESC's - I have programmed them from the radio/receiver - I don't have a programming card.

Let me get them on the desk, re-familiarise myself with process and I will post my findings.

What exactly do you want to set? fwd/reverse? number of cells?

Yes they are brushless and beep is repeated about every second.

Is the ESC continually beeping @ approx 1 second intervals?
