Think you've made an excellent job in a very short time. You must be very pleased with what you have done. Looks as if she will need a fair amount of ballast both internal and external.
Cheers, Nerys

Hi Ron,
She has come on a long way you certainly don't hang about.
Well done.
Martin555.
If it looks right it probably is.
Totally planked now, and sanding filler applied. Sanding has been done and transom has been made and attached.

Bulkheads done. I have seen many of you glue up your hull in diagonal planking as I am planning to do as seen here. No rabbet but instead I glued 1/4” curved sections between the bulkheads which will allow me to securely glue the strips from keel at a 45deg angle and secure to the sheer.

Getting along like a house on fire Ron - when you start something you really do move along while the rest of us are still thinking about it .....
Looking good so far.

Yes Martin. The bulkheads are marked for cutting out the centres. In these photos I am aligning the supports with the keel, then glueing the supports but not the keel or bulkheads. Much work to do on the keel before securing. Thanks. RB

Hi ron,

Is she going to be radio controlled ?

If it looks right it probably is.
This is harder than anything I have tried thus far, but I think it is coming. Three more bulkheads up front to do yet, and #5 needs to be redone.

"I thought it was planked all the way down to the keel bottom."
On the boat in the photo it was Martin, with a big slug of (rusty) iron at the very bottom.
But the bulkheads only went down to what I have now learned is a line with long bendy ears and a short fluffy tail!😂🤣
(Admiral's been round the pink gin again🙄)

Young at heart 😉 Slightly older in other places.😊 Cheers Doug
Don't want to 'rabbet on'😉 so I'll just say
Good post Ron, some very useful info there👍
Especially for complete yacht novices like me.

I see now Ron,

Sorry my mistake, Wrong again As usual.

Below the bulkheads is the keel. The bulkheads stop at the rabbet line.

Hi Ron,
I know nothing about sailboats but if this is the hull of the boat that was posted then deleted, then i thought that bulkheads (from bow 2 to 8) should continue down to the keel.
I am probably wrong. As usual !!

After drawing up on AutocadLt, the model was plotted at 1-1/2”= 1’ making the model 25” . Here is a paper mock-up half hull to see if the drawing was accurate. All seems to be good on paper.
