Yep - remember Sub & Diver (and a can of mums Bi-carb) But couldn't beat the Weetabix 3D cards - "you can get the viewer from Weetabix it will only cost you 1 and 6 ….. " Happy days !

Hi Red,
The drinking bird that i had must of been an alcoholic,
I could never keep his nose out of the glass. LOL!

Lost out in our house JB - elder brother used to keep as his privilege - until a complaint to mother at breakfast made sure he shared - shared a clip to the head afterwards too - not much love lost there...........
Shame those simple toys no longer exist - suppose they would be sniffed at by the young generation - seen a 5 year old wandering around with her own cellphone.........

There was also a diver that came in his own bottle - you pressed the flexible lid and he dived - release and he came up........ fascinating to a kid - took practice to stop halfway........
Have a plan for one somewhere - uses a 2litre fizzy drink bottle - and a small one for the diver........
Oh - and don't forget the drinking bird - they had plenty of those in that shop too!

Hi Martin - bought this in Southampton in 2008 - from the shop that sells old fashioned toys - no more stock as sister tried last year for me......She also wanted for her Great Grandchildren (does that make me feel old - she is my younger sibling).............

Do you remember the little submarines that had a tube attached and you had to suck in to make the sub sink and blow out to make it surface. ?

I used to end up with a mouth full of water regularly LOL!

Had that type of thing here when I was a kid Martin, might have been cornflakes or rice bubbles they came in. Still have cards from weetbix and others. Used to get plastic soldiers, small plastic cars and all sorts. First thing you did with a new packet was tip the contents into a big bowl to find the toy😊

I don't think it was that one, but I had a diving sub, think mine was clockwork.
