There is also a saying "Why do today what you can do tomorrow "..............
Trouble is its like free beer tomorrow - which of course never happens...........
Definitely harder to get started as one ages - but as Mouldbuilder says it goes well when you do.
Have similar problems to Nerys in that I fall asleep at the other PC when designing stuff or drawing boat parts.........

"waiting for glue to dry, so I'll start getting tonight's meal ready. Can't stop now!"--->
"I've just fallen over for the second time in two days" !!! 🤕😮
Hmm! A little less Port Wine in the sauce next time Nerys please!
We still need you! Take it easy👍 Consider your bum well and truly rubbed 😁

Hi Jb,
I think you must be talking about a different Martin, as I have not been a member that long.
In fact I only joined in April 2019.

I don't know if this is due to ageing, but I've just fallen over for the second time in two days. As far as I know there's only a sore bum and a grazed arm as souvenirs.

I've done it, I've started making the hatches, waiting for glue to dry, so I'll start getting tonight's meal ready. Can't stop now!

Motivation has been a problem these past few years.
Trying to make something when things a tight,
But the best motivator that I know of is this site and the members.
If this site was not recommended to me by a good friend I think I would of given up by now.

I've been pontificating about getting on with building my barge for the last hour!

Yes, that's my problem, the will to get on and do things is there, but the amount of effort needed to do it gets greater and greater. I sit there telling myself that 'I'll make a start in a minute' and the next thing I know is waking up an hour later. Once I do start though, I don't want to stop and there are so many boats still to build.

I count myself as very lucky. There is not much I cannot do. The only thing I find myself fighting these days is motivation. As soon as I start something though, I enjoy it. Strange.🤔
I cannot promise to finish one project before starting another. I know, I tried.

Another thing if age is just a number then why does it hurt so much ??
