My experience (with various camera makes Pentax, Canon, Sony) has been that using a USB cable can be a bit iffy.
Sometimes the PC 'sees' it, sometimes not.
Mem card usually appears immediately in Explorer.
Bon chance mon ami😉 Cheers, Doug 😎

Have you found the lead and plugged it into your computer.
If you have then in the file system of your computer you should see another drive listed (will most likely be the name of your camera). Open that drive and look at the list of folder names possibly 'Pictures' or 'DCIM'.
When you have found the folder containing your pictures you can go through them and find the ones you want to copy over to your PC.

If you tell us the name/model of the camera, we can easily find the manual on the web. This will give you all the information you need about loading pictures from it....

Your PC should have a Card Reader on the front for various types of memory cards. Take the card out of the camera and plug it into the appropriate slot in the reader. it will only fit in one and only one way round. The PC should recognise it and display a small pop-up asking what you want to do with it.
Click on 'Display in Explorer' (or similar wording) and the card will appear as a directory in Windows Explorer.
You can then copy the photos to any drive / directory that you want. Cheers, Doug 😎
