Hi Ed,
I have MTroniks ESC's including a couple of PNP types.
What I do is to start by moving the stick to reverse then back to the middle, (You can observe the direction of rotation). Then to the top and back to the middle. This works.
The SLA batteries have nothing to do with the issue.

Your FS-T6 is the same as Conrad here in Germany branded HT-6 which is what I was using for my Sea Scout trials when I noticed that the rudder was reversed. Makes you think bassackwards while steering😲
I changed it in the model memory set up and all was well. 😊
Now I'm well and truly done. Later is the rest of another day !?

Ed, you have to go into the stored settings for a particular model to save it.
From one computer man to another - Anything you do ad hoc while operating is only in volatile RAM and, as usual, is lost as soon as you switch off.
A simpler solution might be to just reverse the motor connections! 😁😁

I'm using the Flysky FS-T6!
And yes I'm doing the servo reverse.
I can save this setting. But when I turn the controller off and then back on again. it does the same thing!
And I have to reverse the servo function again
I've never had this problem till now!

OK Ed so what you are actually doing is reversing the effect of that channel, i.e. Servo Reverse function which reverses the output of the RX to the ESC. You need to save this setting under the Model memory 'Brooklyn' otherwise you will have to do it again every time you switch on. 😲

Morning Doug,

What I mean is when I push the throttle.
To the forward position. The boat will go in reverse!
I then have to go to the setup screen on the controller.
I go to the throttle channel. And switch it so that it will go in the direction. I'm going in which would be forward lets say!

Maybe this is something that only happens to the PNP ESC's.....

Veery interestink!
These PNP ESCs from mTronik are relativley new. I have some mTronik Viper Marine 10A for my smaller 'brushed' boats and on first use I simply have to teach them which way on the throttle stick is forwards and which backwards.
Looking at the so called manual for your PNP version I note instructions and notes as in attached pics. How you re-train it I can't see!
Maybe just start again from switch on, but watch what you do with the throttle stick. Also seems it 'adjusts' as you use it. Quite what that means they don't explain🤔 Give 'em a ring and ask!
I guess you reckoned; 'OK PNP so who needs to look at the manual'!

Let me start from the beginning.
I have noticed that after I switch on my boat.
When I push the throttle forward.
The boat will go backwards!
I then have to switch it to go forward.
Via the input screen on the controller!

This never happened to me when.
Using the controller on the other boats I have!

I did check the charge using a volt meter.
It checked OK!

I then checked the SLA's they check OK also!
Oh, the SLA's are in series! Picture enclosed!

So, Question what can be causing the boat. To sometimes change it's direction?

Ed, What you are writing makes no sense whatsoever!😲
Where are you measuring these voltage swings?
PM or mail me a sketch of the set up and wiring in your boat with photos showing all power connections please.
Are you sure the batts are in series?

Something's very peculiar somewhere.
SLAs only go reverse polarity, and then not much, when they have been deep discharged and then neglected for a while.
But they NEVER recover and come back from that!

I have checked the batteries.
They are OK! Their polarities are , --.
I have also checked the charger.
It's polarity is OK as well!

I suspect the ESC! it's a PNP ESC!
