Hi and thanks for your comments. I used the original method as used by the model designer. A standard servo, with a long throw hand crafted servo arm and a brass rod connected to base of scissor lift. r/c control via "undercarriage switch", so swith "on/cabin raises", switch off/lowers. linear servos were too expensive when this was built over 6 years ago. if you want to see the full build, go to "modelboatmayhem", look under pusher tugs, you will find it all there in step by step build blog. it saves having to put limit switches on linear drive to prevent overshoot.
