Transfers

HI Peter,
That's a cracking little boat, if it's the one I think it is I had it in my watch list as I've always fancied one and they don't come up for sale too often!! Looks to be in excellent condition, you must be very pleased, I would be 😊

I can't Imagine its very heavy at all and will probably run very well on the standard motor so a good place to start. There are a couple here on the site, might be worth looking to see what they run and any comments made.

Transfers

Hello Roger,
I do like to keep busy during the summer so I have been working on this Launch in between trouble shooting and running the Marlin & Fireboat.
Actually I have now got the Marlin running well at last after changing propeller and uprating fuse to 20A much like I did with the Fireboat.
This boat has been great to work on and has never seen water yet! Very soon it will earn its keep for me!
You can see the transfers in pic 1 - thanks for the info Roger - much the same procedure as it always was then!
They are a bit yellow with age but they are going on despite.
I'm going to start off with a 550 standard motor running on 7.2v. if all goes well I might then uprate to a 600 Speed 7.2v Graupner which runs at much higher rpm. What do you think?

HI Peter,
I guess if they're not peel-off type stickers that they would be water slide which means soaking them in luke-warm water until they loosen, sliding the upper part into position and damping off with tissue (like an Airfix kit!) You could test by cutting off a blank corner to try this out.

If this is the case you will need to make sure they are given a good coat of protective varnish post-application.

I guess this is your new project, let us know what you're working on and post some pictures 😊
