Right, more or less finished and waiting for a tiny bit of tidying up,l but all in primer coat...the Crash Tender crew.

I guess I've been lucky. 28 years after a late marriage. 3 kids came with the deal and we now have 5 lovely grandchildren and a classic car.(Bazz hates kids)

After two attempts (7 and 15 years) I gave up the institution of marriage for life. The first nearly drove me into financial ruin, the second was so jealous that after every business trip I was subjected to the Spanish inquisition, you can only stand that so long, last heard of with her boyfriend in USA. I divorced both. Lessons learned.
Since 1995 I have a great partnership with my German girlfriend Gisela, who was also married once, to a latent alcoholic.
We both agree; we don't need a piece of official stamped paper (much less a church paper) to show we love each other. We've been partners now for 23 years 😉 Cheers, Doug 😎

My bridge camera has the normal sized aperture, but takes useless pictures in lower light or close up. So much so I don't even bother anymore, I just get my wife or son to use their Klevafones.

In my experience phone cameras can be very fussy about light levels, esp for close ups. Comes from the tiny aperture I suppose.

No!!! Misunderstanding, Doug. The CT for real has Rover Meteorites in the engine 'ole! My one has a Supermarine as stated. Phew, didn't want you going up a blind ally!
My camera won't take anything in less than bright sunshine and bugger all close up in any light, so I usually get Chris to use her phone, which takes a better picture than my camera at the best of times, especially close up. Don't know what happened last night though, it didn't seem to want to know. The boss man figure is hard to photograph as his head and hands are a kind of semi opaque glow in the dark wishy washy green colour. All will be better when painted in self etch primer, which is a kind of baby poo greenish yellow.

No sweat; Meteorites (or Meteors?) are modified Targets / Torpedoes so I can make a conversion board for those as well (I think😉).

Typical snag with phone photos; they don't like doing close ups 🤔
That's why I use my Sony Cyber Shot for the close ups I post.
Tried the Samsung camera, fuzzy result - lens too small!

Right well, just to show I am doing what i said, here are the three crew members so far. The boss man is pretty much done. He has his binoculars and arms set to hold them, but cast separately as they would be too difficult to cast all in one, as would the guy driving the boat. His arms and jumper haven't been finish shaped yet which , with the difficult camera ('phone) angle makes him look a bit pinheaded, but he isn't really. He has a yet to be finished Forage cap. Finally is the cool dude. No hat, relaxing on the tow hook deck away from the others, thinking of that little floozey back at base, smoking a roll-up. He still has a way to go. Currently he is being padded out from the ghastly superhero crap that the kids seem to love these days. I hated all that tosh when I was kid, never mind now! All I ever did with a marvel comic was light the fire with it!
So, there you have 3 4 3/8th" figures. The other two are in the engine 'ole running the Meteorites, so out of sight.
No idea of costs yet until my caster man sees them.
I hope you might find them useful as 1/16th scale figures.

I have a similar problem with my 46" 1/12th model, I found some Star Trek figures at just 6" with movable limbs so I reckon with some creative cloths and a face lift I can make them into true RAF crew members. they were about £5 each.

I don't know about Munich...Chris and I enjoyed half meter bratties at Braunschweig Castle Christmas market. With a bowl of delicious boiled mushrooms and a Gluhwein. Magic.

sick of trying to find any half decent crew for my 1/16th (34 1/2") Crash Tender, I have resolved to do my own. I will do them in RAF boat crew style with the big woolly jumper or the big Duffel coat, with and without forridge cap or peaked hat. I may do them with changeable arms so they can be posed. I shall attempt to make the faces realistic. Of course, being RAF, no beards, but there could be the odd moustache. They'll be about 4 3/8" tall. Cast in resin by my chum at RS Slotracing, who's pretty damned good at it.
More news when the masters are done.
