Doug is so right, I never know what to say in situations like this, I have lost a lot of friends and also my dad.
Dad always said it'll only get you if you let it. He managed 11 years after being given 9 months. And lived life to the full, going out to sea in his boat every day the weather let him.
Don't give up shipmate we're all here for you.

hoped never to visit this post again ,but alas just when you think everything is going along tickity -boo consultant from Oncology phoned this morning routine check up has shown cancer has spread to my ribs , will start an oral tablet to enhance the hormone treatment next week until after the virus lets me attend hospital.digging out the relaxation CDs .

Have as much fun as you can. When I went in for radiation treatment I used to wear a Spiderman hoodie and complain afterwards when I couldn't shoot spider webs. When all of the hair disappeared and it came up to Australia Day, I stuck a temporary Australian flag tattoo on the big shiny bit above my forehead. All of the kids loved it when I went in for treatment. in remission now and still having fun. Don't give up.

My nephew of 5 year at the time, was diagnosed with the big C in his brain back in 2015, and it brought the family in close, we all joined some family time in Houston and would not trade those 10 days for any thing 😎

I'm also the proud and humble owner of a Armidale Patrol ship build by a nice chap in Helsigør Denmark. This was handed over to me when he had to attend to his last sea trip due to the big C 😭 and I'll treasure this model to the end of ...

Keep the thoughts bright and clear, and remember to appreciate the good times with all those you enjoyed the good times with 😎 and don't forget to tell them that 👍 Many people do win the fight 👍

Mark; in 1994 it was discovered (almost by accident - you know what it's like when you're looking for something else😉) that I had a brain tumour, 😲 benign - BUT...
I decided not to let it bother me or waste time brooding about it and got on with life. Positive thinking DOES help believe me!
To cut a longer story sideways, at the last check up last year it weren't there no more 😊 IT CAN BE BEATEN and attitude really does help. I'm the living proof, 24 years later and still sticking my nose in (almost) everywhere😁

Never give in Marky, was told I had the big C, Feb 2016, had the tumour removed and a bit of radio therapy and all clear at the moment, 👍 building and sailing take the pain away, think positive and you will win, I am sure.
