My Mum worked in a Bedford truck factory, stripping and rebuilding clapped out engines for the Army. She showed me how to fit new big ends and pistons and re-time the valve gear on my old Hillman Minx! 😉
She's still goin' strong at 93 😊
Cheers Doug 😎

I vaguely remember my mum saying that she worked in a factory in Birmingham during the war making something for pop-poms. She had no idea what is was or what it did!
