HI Sonar, further to what Dave M said, dont worry about asking a question, might be a bit silly but if you dont know the boat ends up in the bin!!! the only silly question is the one you didnt ask!!!!

Welcome to the site. I suspect many have started models that never quite got finished so you are not alone in that respect.
There is a wealth of knowledge and advice on the site so if you do get stuck help is freely available.
Are you still interested in tugs or have you another model in mind? if you are still considering it may be helpful to say what model and see if others have already built a similar vessel and how they found the build.
