Motors for a Robbe San Diego

The prop is a Graupner 2318.33. Carbon Hydropeller 33mm, 46mm pitch.
No idea why I fitted that it's so long ago but was used with brushed motor, and it works for me. I am considering putting a couple of skegs (strips under the the hull) to stop some of the side sway due to torque. it's a bit of a top heavy model.

Thank you Derek for that info I did look at the Turnigy motors having had them in aircraft and them being reliable. That sounds about right combo doubled up would make it go. My Riva has outrunners with a cooling mount on each and cooled ESC's. The inrunners with jackets look good but way over power I think, to high a Kv making them more suitable for racing machines. Don't know if this helps. I have a Robbe Topkapi, 20yr old ish. Was geared 600.
Now a Brushless turnigy D3536-6 1250kv 490w Out runner. Turnigy 55A controller. Bought for another project but fitted in this. Think models a similar size, just single prop.
Good performance, motor stays cool. No water cooling. Prop around 35mm (its a Graupner "S" I think. I will look for its number later)

Motors for a Robbe San Diego

HI there, new project: Robbe San Diego super yacht. I want to put twin brushless in her, has anyone done this on this forum? If so would they be kind enough to assist me in letting me know their set up and performance. Or, could anyone advice me. I am thinking 500 watts per motor similar to my Riva. The boat is going to weigh about 5kg. Its 1250mm long by 250mm wide.
