The phrase comes from the 1997 Australian cult film The Castle. In the movie, the protagonist, Sal Kerrigan, absolutely adores his family. Whenever his wife or children buy or make something—even a trivial or inexpensive item, like a mug or a keychain—Sal enthusiastically exclaims, "That's going straight to the pool room!" In Australian homes, the "pool room" is the room containing the billiard table; it is often used as a space for entertaining guests and is decorated with family trophies and memorabilia.

Hi Ron, these are very recent photos, and I’m glad you like them.
I feel the same way. You have no idea how useful a close-up photo would have been at certain times. There were moments when I was trying to figure out how the Admiralty anchors were secured at the bow, how the brails were arranged, how to construct a hatch, how to rig a tackle, and so on.
I often came across photos I couldn't zoom in on or unclear drawings. Like you, I find having a large collection of photos of boats and details incredibly helpful.
These days, photos of motorboats would be more useful to me, but I can't help it—workboats and sailing vessels fascinate me more. Still, I’ve taken on this challenge and want to see it through to the end.

So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.
