Hi
Are you a member of Metro Marine Modellers?
This event has been on the club website calendar for months.
The ScaleCaptain expects people to refer to calendar for future events as does the Sail Captain and Static Captain.
Hugh Lee did send out an email to those who indicated they were planning to attend.
In June he sent this email:

Hello guys. I recently received these revised dates from City Hall regarding our Scale events at NPS - Nathan Phillips Square in downtown Toronto, and at Mel Lastman Square, North York.
These 2 events are considered to be marquee / high profile events for our Club. We, the members with our boats on display & running in the huge ponds, will be scrutinized by the general public, tourists, local & worldwide, along with City officials in attendance.
Here’s your chance to speak to everyone who is interested in our boats. We can interact with these folks, letting them try out our boats as we did in the previous years at NPS.
The pond at Mel Lastman Square is being filled with water just for this one event for us to run our boats. Let’s not disappoint them.
NPS, being in the heart of downtown Toronto is very easy to get to & traffic isn’t that bad. Parking is near the pond & is free.
The Mel Lastman pond is located uptown Toronto & is even easier to get to & has “ Green P “ parking which will be refunded to members after they provide a receipt.
Perhaps the Sail division can bring some of their smaller boats to run at these events.
The dates: NPS Sunday August 9. 10 am to 3 pm
Mel Lastman. Sept. 13. 10 am to 3 pm
Members are encouraged to run or display any type of scale boat. But please, do not operate any competition type fast electric vessels at these ponds.
Battery charging is not available at NPS but will be available at Mel Lastman.
Hope to see you all there.
Hugh Lee, Scale boat Captain, MMM
