Julian I'm very accident-prone it all started in 1948 while on my first zoo visit was bitten by a Galapagos Tortoise since the I have lost count .
Ended up in hospital must be about a dozen times.
The one that I will always remember is in 1955 while out with a few school chums it was on a dark 'n stormy night I was run down my a motorcycle and ended up in the local orthopedic hospital with a broken leg , that was just the start 3 days later my appendicitis ruptured. LOL Col

Just be careful—you’re supposed to weld the two halves of the puffer together, not your fingers! 🔥🤣

I’ve never tried one of those plastic welding guns, but for assembling 3D-printed parts, you might also want to try a good-quality CA glue made specifically for plastics.
A medium-viscosity CA gives you a little working time, fills small imperfections, and is much easier to control on the small parts we deal with in ship modeling.

For larger structural joints, I’ve had good results with 5-minute epoxy.
The nice thing about CA is that you can apply it precisely with a fine applicator and avoid turning the model into a melted-plastic experiment! 😄
