@BobbyN
Many thanks for your interest and support. Please give me time to research further. I’ll get back to you with better information.

@Javelin1 After a little research I believe the gun fitted to the J Class was 4.7 in Mk XII. I found the drawings in a reference book "Naval Weapons of WW2" on page 49. However there are a number of inconsistencies with these drawings and the photos you posted. I do not have this variant drawn up already but would be happy to do so. I just want to be sure that what I draw will be correct. You could also check in the references British Naval Weapons of WW2 as I have both of these. If you can confirm the the actual gun turret from one of these references I can advise further.

Hi all,
The reason I posted this question is that I have a very detailed set of drawings and photo etched brass fittings for a British 12 pounder with limber and crew seat. I am looking to sell this as I am rationalising my “stock” of future builds. This is Waterloo era.

Bobby’s, I can get access to a 3D printer. The STL files would be great if you have them. I’m currently unsure of which mark of gun they should be. They are however 4.7 in.

@Javelin1 Do you have access to a 3D printer? If so it may be simpler to just send you the STL files. I will check if I have the drawings for the guns which I believe are the 4.7 in. Do you have any additional information mark 9 or 12?

@BobbyN are you able to 3D print gun shields for my scratch built J class destroyer HMS Javelin in 1:60 scale? If you can, what sort of cost would 3 shields be? If you’re willing to supply the 3D files only I would consider that as an option. I’m in the UK. As you can see the shields would need to cover the existing guns with slight alterations. I’m currently 3 years into this build as it’s got rc control for many functions.
Thank you in anticipation of your reply.

I used to build these like mad when I was a kid. My dad picked up a bunch of them at the PX Store in the Philippines on his way home from his Vietnam "tours." .99 cents a pop! I especially liked the Civil War ones that were chrome plated "Metalized Barrels" in gold from Palmer, Pyro, and Life-Like. These molds have been passed around for 75 years! 😉

I draw up my guns from a number of references which have details drawings. These are mainly WW1 and WW2 vintage. If this is what you are after I will post the references for you. I draw up the Guns and other fittings and then 3D print them. The photo attached may give you an idea but everything on this model was 3D printed after drawing it up.
