What a wonderful website and a fantastic celebration of traditional maritime heritage.
The photographs, the atmosphere, and the collection of classic working craft are absolutely inspiring.

It is very refreshing to see events like Lugger Fest keeping alive the history, seamanship, craftsmanship, and community spirit surrounding these beautiful traditional vessels.
The combination of sailing, boatbuilding, talks, music, and local culture makes this far more than just a festival — it becomes a living museum of maritime history.

My compliments to all the organizers, builders, sailors, and volunteers involved.
Events like this are extremely important for future generations who otherwise may never experience these remarkable boats and traditions.

Absolutely magnificent work. ⚓

That looks like a fun event.
Unfortunately, it is a bit far to travel for a weekend event (AND short notice, LOL)
If you go, have a good time and a a beer or two for me.

So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.
