This new photo of Ken's build begs the question of what do old towboats & beautiful women have in common?

Perhaps its just me, but I have always thought the best view is always from the stern. 😎

Howdy gents!

Certainly no language issue with Ken as he speaks the King's language probably better than I do thanks to my West Virginia upbringing.😉

I've forwarded the site to him but you'll find him on several scale model boat groups on Facebook. Same goes for Cactus RC who makes the Juanita & others kid I've had him develop.

If there is a language issue that is making Ken reluctant to post, even if this website doesn't do translations, then Google does, and then just copy and paste into a build blog here? Or maybe in Hong kong there are other restrictions making life difficult?

That model is an absolute master class - as you say, it would be good to have him on board, to show us his building methods and techniques

Hey Chuck,
Haven't you told him about the model-boats homepage yet?
His fine work and ideas would be a further enrichment for us, wouldn't they?
Greetings Michel-C.

Here's an update from Ken Wong on his main decking. Quite fancy, if you'd ask me. 😎

Here is a new Juanita build from Ken Wong based out of Hong Kong who is an excellent modeler with a large range of RC boats. He just got the kit from Cactus this week & posted some progress after a few days.

He plans to do a kit bash & not build to either version.

No need to cut any frames given the available space inside the hull.

Battery for the proto sample is placed underneath the pilothouse while ESC & radio receiver is immediately aft of this in the next frame.

There is plenty of space to add sound & smoke modules. We didn't assign any trays for these so that's up to the builder to do as they see fit.

Chuck:
According to what I see from others that have started the build is that they cut off some of the crossbeams of a few frames but then again in your posted pictures, you didn’t cut any.
Do we need to cut off some to get access to the electronics.
Also, between which frames does the battery should be placed?

Great build log to use as reference.
I will follow it to build my own.
It’s always better to let an expert builder show us how it’s done.
