GEOFF a good day
mountfleet is only selling the TAMAR as a kit on a 1M lenght.
The models Speedine are selling are quite different. I made and finished the 1/16 TRent and it is a suberb kit with lots of details( but you must be an experienced modelboatbuilder to make it. My next one is the TAMAR 1/12 scale length 130 cm or 1,3 m. The quality of the hull and cabin are impeccable. I only bought hull and cabin no full set.
If you do have any more questions don't hesitate to post a remark.
all the best

i am at the moment building one of these kits, a company called Mountfleet Models took over these kits several years ago, if you want to contact them they are based in Doncaster u.k.
their e mail address is sales @mountfleetmodels.co.uk , if you can get a copy of the latest Model Boats mag.there is a 10 page build artical on this very boat, by the way the current cost of the kit is about £550.oo pounds thats not including shipping which i think might be expensive to the U.S. as the box the kit comes in is massive, hope this helps
as an aside there is a complete built Tamar on E bay U.K. for £950 pounds.

The pleasure is all mine 😂
This is the fantastic thing of this site where ever you are living and you have a modelboat related question or problem the gentlemen skippers will reply and come up with an answer or solution based on their experience or the same fault they have made in the past

Yow! This is a huge help Herman! Thank you!
I’d love one as well, but have to hold until I can swing the costs and get through my current build. Nevertheless, I will give him a write.

This gentlemen seems to move them through eBay UK. I would give him a write and see what his deal is and what his shipping fees are. Best of luck P. Keep us looped in they are awesome kits and look very badass!

Pbratten a good day
Speedline had been sold, but the previous owner is still present. They had a fire and all the mouldings were gone. They are back in the market with manufacturing complete kits in scale 1/12 and 1/16. I ordered a Tamar 1/12 and it has cost me an arm and a leg and lots of mails and phonecalls. So i would say be patient because they take their time to reply.
But i must say i m very very satisfied with their quality. It is the second speedline model before this one i made the 1/16 Trent.
Keep up!!!

Hello,
I'm looking to purchase a 1/16 Speedline Tamar model kit, and am in the USA.
Does anyone know if Speedline ships to the USA? I sent in two emails to them but have not received word back.
Failing that, asking here to see if anyone would be interested in assisting me by purchasing one for delivery in the UK and then shipping to the USA? I am aware that shipping costs would not be cheap. Thank you in advance.
