Albuquerque, NM Model Boat Pond

Hello Philuk!
I have a tip for you:
Get an excavator and expand your pond! Ask the local council if they would be happy with it first!
Impossible for us, maybe for you????
Greetings Michel-C.

My joke for this day . . . Typically Swiss! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
if you don't ask, you won't get an answer!

The ponds over here tend to be small, I would love a pond that size.

Hey Captain Brinkmann!
I see you have similar problems with remote-controlled ducks and the like.
We've had invasive geese here for some time and despite the ban, the animals are fed in summer (!).
Our pond ( Riffigweier) has a lot of fish and a few pike that reduce the goose population, as do our red kites. . ( Deutsch: Rotmilane) Nature partly regulates itself.
Bb Michel-C.
Ps: as Jumpugly says, >> Great pond they have there.

The local modelboatbuilders will be over the moon with such a pond. The same applies for us. Our pond has been made espacially for modelboating.Completely in concrete, 1,30 m deep and 3 m under ground level do therefore no problem with the wind. At our pond you can come in your taxido without any problem but we are not that poch 😂😂😂😂

We are on a road trip that included attending the massive Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, and spending time with our daughter before she has her first child (next week??).
While in Albuquerque, I checked for model boat clubs, and discovered that the city has built a model boat pond for enthusiasts to use. We stopped by and checked it out on our way out of town. There were no boats on the water, but it looks like a great facility.
I snapped a few pictures to share.

So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.
