How do they move around the deck?

I'm soooo confused with this design flaw...perhaps a scratch built down staircase heading fore? This will bother me all damn day Lew! 😉

The crew may drink Red Bull, it gives you wings 😂

How do they move around the deck?

For sure Lew. Sport fishers & lobster boats typically have narrow deck space between the deck house & rail but they are navigable. In contrast, tugs, pilot boats, etc have to have wide enough deck space between the house & rail to be easily traversed by the crew. A flaw in many kits as you point out.

Agreed with your assessment of this model. It reminds me of those models found in the gift shop found along the coasts in your country and mine.

Though this one looks proper.

As a long time builder of model boat I appreciate many of the photos and discussion on this site. Especially notable are the scratch builds with the typical research and planning often required.
But, what baffles me, in particular, is the design of Aquacraft's Bristol Bay. How does the "crew" move around the deck, fore and aft?
Perhaps they have a Star Trek type transporter? "Beam me up Spock, there's no intelligent life down here."
