Thanks for everyone’s interest, it is only about the first 10 seconds that the power assist was used, just to help turn her away from the dock side.the rest of the voyage is wind powered. Sailing into the sunset. The battery will last for hours not like the other vessels I have!.

Hi everyone this is the best video I have at the moment, I have either been on my own, now breeze or the pond flooded since having completed her build. Hopefully now the weather is getting better and fellow boaters are coming out of hibernation I will get someone to steer while I video her sailing with a stiffer breeze!!. https://youtu.be/shf1XD99zPs?feature=shared

She sails well Roger. There are several members of our club that have tugs and are keen on introducing some kind of competitive events we can participate in within our club. We’d be interested to find out what things clubs such as yours do tug-wise. One of our issues though is that our lake is in a public park which means any infrastructure we make would have to be assembled and disassembled at every meeting.

Hello fellow modellers, heres a photo from Sunday at the pond, once the rain had ceased the sun came out we got down to a little sailing. We had set out to create a course and harbours for the coming seasons sailings, and tug towing.but all that went out the window with the wet start. At least the water level was back to normal after at one stage being 3 feet higher. So here’s a photo of the tweeked IngaIV catching the breeze, plus some of our members boats.
