HI I would never recommend any one to put spray cans in hot water or use a hair dryer just leave the cans at room temperature for 24 hours before using the main temperature is the air temperature should be a min of 55F if cooler spray out doors and bring in as soon as you can to a room tep of 60 plus I was a sprayer for 25 years

If he used water out of a boiled kettle that wouldn't be surprising. I use the tap and as long as it's touchable it will be ok. But fair comment

I didn't suggest the bowl of hot water Edward, as one of our club members had a can explode, put a big dint in his ceiling, perhaps his water was a bit too hot.

I agree with Alan but would suggest as an alternative to a hair drier would be to put the can in a bowl of hot water. Be sure to wipe the can before you spray before you spray!

HI Adrian, I use Halfords car paint rattle cans, filler, primer, gloss and if you need it there is a clear coat.
But don't mix it with any of the other paints that they sell.
If you can, warm up the subject with a hair drier/heat gun just before spraying, this will give better results and help to stop runs, also make sure the rattle can is at room temperature and well shaken (not stirred 😁 )
