Day 2. Doing a rough sort of some of the loose contents, most of these were all mixed up in a bag together. Finds include another 8 brass props, loads of ships’ wheels and large pile of Billings stanchions. Also opened the cardboard folders to find a lifetimes supply of styrene sheet. Have had to send my wife out for more small storage drawers.

I suspect the warship guns are by Aeronaut as part of their 1:200 series

These items are definitely not from Mike McGuinn who
specializes in model boat guns. he will still be at the Blackpool Model boat show in October, don't think he was selling up last year, just thinning out his massive stock.

Cheers, Pete😊

Enough to open your own mini hobby shop! Great Haul!

What did he ask for it all?

It’s almost worth flying across the pond to come see your cache.

Absolutely NOT breaking site rules Neil.
In fact your shipmates (including me😁) would very much appreciate having 'First Dibs'.
An Excel (or similar) list in our 'ForSale/Wanted' section would be the simplest way.

Give me a couple of weeks and I’ll sort out the list of items I’ll be moving on. If it doesn’t break site rules I’ll advertise them first here before I list on eBay with a suitable donation to the site costs.

Just found a large cache of Billings fittings as well, nearly to the bottom. Think a beer is required before I work out what I’ll do with 50+ brushed motors.

Don't know how much you paid Neil but I reckon you hit one of those rare 'right place right time moments'. Bammy jugger!😁
Looking forward to seeing your 'Catalogue' in our 'For sale' section👍
Particularly interested in the bag of scale figures and the scale warship fittings.

Wow what a find!! I am pretty sure these items came from an old guy called " Gunns". The name comes from his speciality of really good resin guns and turrets for model warships. chap

This chap traded at the Model Boat Convention and at the Blackpool Model Boat Show for many years. Indeed, at Blackpool last October his son was helping sell off stock at drastically reduced prices - and I guess that you have bought up a good proportion of the remainder.

Although not a warship fan myself I am pretty sure you will find a ready market for the items over your needs.

Yet another sign of the drastic fall in model boat traders across the UK since even before the Pandemic. We all need to help each other to keep our really great hobby alive.

Took a punt on a job lot of model stuff on Marketplace, seller said he was giving up modelling and he had the remnants of a model shop. Saw there was a huge pile of BECC letters and flags that I needed. Also came with 50 electric motors, 30+ props and packets and packets of fittings. Just unpacked about 10%. Now have the national collection of scale lifeboats - about 50 plus a load of Italian kits. Opened another bag and there’s a load of scale warship fittings. Think it’s going to take days to catalogue it all. There’s a bag of scale figures that look nice, about 20 servos and bags I’ve yet to open. 30kg of model boat fittings.

Pics show a fraction of the contents.
