Stopping "Wordie" and "Question of the day"

Hi Lew,

I've made some tweaks and now when 'Puzzles of the Day' are switched off in my account, it'll be as though they don't exist. You shouldn't see them online or be notified of any new posts in the respective threads.

You can still get to the threads from the forum page, but that's all.

Thanks! Stephen

Stopping "Wordie" and "Question of the day"

Thanks Stephen. I have in the past and still enjoy interfacing with fellow scale model boaters on a variety of topics. I started in RC scale boats about 50 years ago with a scratch built 42 inch "Standard Oil" tug. Much has changed since then and this site helps to keep me informed about the hobby. Thanks to all who both ask questions and supply answers!

Lew, I am going to add a toggle for this in the My Account section. I realise it’s not for everyone and I don’t want the two puzzles to take away focus from the other great content on the site. That’s really what it’s all about more than the puzzles 👍

I’ll switch it off on your account as soon as I’ve added the functionality.

Stopping "Wordie" and "Question of the day"

Hello, I also get tons of emails that I don't want to receive. Have now taken out the people I follow, which doesn't mean that I don't find the other topics of the people interesting. I'm here every day and I read the topics that interest me even without emails. Otherwise, I feel very comfortable here.

Lew, you only get mail to subjects you sign on for or posts from members you follow . I suggest you check your settings, and who or what you are following. And switch off what you don't want.
Don't give up shipmate, it's a great site with so much to offer.
Cheers Colin.

Stopping "Wordie" and "Question of the day"

I asked about me not getting question of the day once previously but still get them (lots) and now wordle (?). I have question of the day turned off. The other day I checked my emails and had about 25 with all but one being question of the day. I recommended this site to other model boaters and onee that did sign up didn't like getting all of these as well and has not been participating on this site.

I see other enjoying this😊. However I do not want to get these☹️.
