HMS Endurance

I've looked at this kit myself, unfortunately there's not enough pennies in the piggy bank at the moment and not feeling that confident on rigging. Hey ho, I can dream and follow someone else with their build 😁

Mornin' Trev,
It's not you that's in error. It's Occre!
Dunno where they got the idea she was built as a Frigate.
Uncle Wiki has a very different opinion.

"The ship was launched on 17 December 1912[3] and was initially christened Polaris after the North Star.[4] She was 144 ft (44 m) long, with a 25 ft (7.6 m) beam,[5] and measured 350 tons gross.[6] Her original purpose was to provide luxurious accommodation for small tourist and hunting parties in the Arctic as an ice-capable steam yacht.[7] As launched she had 10 passenger cabins, a spacious dining saloon and galley (with accommodation for two cooks), a smoking room, a darkroom to allow passengers to develop photographs, electric lighting and even a small bathroom."
Hardly a description of a ship equipped for war!😉
She was built as a barquentine or schooner barque. Shackleton made many alterations to the internal layout but the ship was built with steam power from the get go - not converted.
I agree, a fine looking model 'Expert grade'?😮
Cheers, Doug😎

HMS Endurance

Greetings Mates,
Is anyone thinking of building the OcCre Endurance,
that Sir Ernest Shackleton and crew used to cross the Antarctic
In 1914?
She looks amazing She was converted to a three masted Brigantine with Steam Power.
(Doug, Please correct me if I am in error)
I would love to build her, but I have two vessels on the ways,
one in plan stage and two ready to be built.
I hope someone takes the task in hand 🤞🤞
She looks like she is only for display, but i am with JB, where there is a will there is a way 👍👍👍
