Ron,
You were a short 7 hr drive north of me, when in Thunder Bay (I am about 40 miles west of the Andover Club shown on kiwi's map). I agree it is a beautiful area up there. Will you be following the lakes on your return trip? We have done that drive, it is spectacular!

So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.

Just for a laugh Ron, red line is roughly the length of New Zealand,- long drive back!.
More of a laugh, I bought a part for my Suzuki 650 from Alpha Sports in Limerick -Maine,- just down the road from you 😁

Beautiful place to visit. Breathtaking scenery.
One thing I know for sure is that my scary cat wife would never cross that hanging bridge.
You have a brave woman.😎

Will be meeting her this afternoon for a purchase. Thanks for everyone adding their comments.

Look on your atlas, we are in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada and will begin our drive home to Port Perry on Friday taking several days to make the drive. Playing golf on one day, seeing more sites too.

Also Ronald:
All of the money you save and more will be used in the vast quantities of wonderful photo etched parts existing for this particular kit.😎

That’s a hell of a great buy!!!
Never again you will come across that price for that model.
I sold my Matchbox Flower Class Corvett 1:72 on EBay for $127.50., so you got the best deal ever.

Hi Ron
They make into a realistic model and can be converted to a sailing version.
Many were built in Canada during the second world war so you could base your model on a Canadian built version.
I have one and another half built kit so if it is something you would like to build and it's not too far out of your way then yes go for it. There were two versions of the kit, the earlier Matchbox is the rarer whereas the later Revel are quite common in the UK. I recently sold one for the RNLI to a fellow scale modeler for £40 so price is OK.

Hey there Ronald: That’s an absolute steal! I would be burning rubber in all gears running over to pick it up for that price…especially in 1:72 scale. That’s a $200 kit stateside. Go for it! 👍
P.s. can’t even guess what the original Matchbox release would go for these days.

Ronald.
What a bargain if you can get it.
The Flower class is my favorite class of ship and I have built many in various scales.
They cost a lot more in the UK and I would bite their arm off for that one.
They sail well and are great for RC.
Attached a couple of pictures of a conversation model I built for one of the Grandsons from a Snowberry kit recently.
There are two examples in my Harbour.Good luck 👍
Regards
Bill.
Never give up.It will come right in the end.

Personally if I was to be offered for that price, I wouldn't think twice. All the best 👌

The Snowbury costs over $300.00 New Zealand
I have the 1/72 version and the 1/148th version and they are great for rc control!😊

Just came across a 1/72 Revell older kit of the H.C.M.S. Snowberry kit here on my vacation road trip. Lady is asking $80 but offered $40 which was agreed upon if we can connect.

Is it worthwhile trying to make the effort to pick it up?
