CHUGALONE, my zippkits tug has no interior yet, but i will be adding some. Perhaps a camera too for FPV. And the exterior needs details added too. Here is the innards in case you care. ZIPPKITS universal didn't last very long.

I bought some 1:12 figures from MELODY on AMAZON so will be making my next wheelhouse larger to accommodate the taller figure. Bought camera & rf transmitter board on Amazon. Also diesel sound module, & navigation lighting, fuel drum, gas can, fire extinguisher, electric winch, 20rpm motor for radar antenna

It is scratch built from pictures and some plans I picked up when I was stationed in Alaska in the 80s.
I drew up the model based on those plans and pictures.

I was referring myself to “philsacc avatar tug”, that looks like is primed and ready to be painted.
By the way, I also like your zippkits pusher tug.
Have you posted any pictures of the inside set up?

Rochester has a model yacht club though it looks to be mostly sail, but hang around there and you’ll probably find those who are building other vessels too.

I hope you have good luck. If you ever get down to LI let me know and you can get together with us as an informal group of boat modelers in Lindenhurst on Sundays.

@RodC I wish I could run up there. By the time you get through the border it is a whole day. The Buffalo club is closer but even that is a haul that late in the day.

I actually go to Florida in the winter and stay at Markham Park. It would be nice to have someone to run boats with. They have a pond for the very noisy and loud speed boats but I haven't run my tugboats there yet.

Welcome Recruit ! This site has been a wonderful resource for me, a newby to RC model boating. Google Maps places you at a 3-3/4hr drive from me so unless we take the shorter route directly across the Lake we are unlikely to sail together. I suggest that you google GREAT LAKES MODEL BOAT & explore each of the links the results show. We have a string of clubs all along the north shore of Lake Ontario, right round the west end, Hamilton (Confederation Model) right to Buffalo. Also Port Colborne event coming up.
