Just to say please relook at my last post as I had to modify it as vids weren't uploading but fine now.
My grandson ended up with 4 extra boats for his display, donated by an elderly gentleman who was visiting the show. I'll post pictures tomorrow when I unload the car as too tired tonight.

Hi guys and gals, having great 2nd day at show, keep forgetting how to say no and so far have 3 more boats, which I immediately gave to my grandson for his display.
Had a chat with some boatclub members from Cwmbran.
Sorry couldn't get round the show to get more pic's, as my dodgy leg and hip were playing up.

Well folks arrived safely at showground, spent 2 hours setting up, grandson arrived with his boats as well.

Collin, I also wish you the best when showing your great model collection.
I love competitions and exhibitions, it brings humility to all, because there is always someone that has a better model than us.
Down here in the other side of the pond, I use to compete many times with the IPMS shows.
Last one (1999) won me “The Best Sail Ship Model” award with my Imai 1-70 Golden Hind.
After the show I sold the model to a person that is an Imai models fanatic.
I love competitions and exhibitions, it brings humility to all, because there is always someone that has a better model than us.
Down here in the other side of the pond, I use to compete many times with the IPMS shows.

Looks chaotic but I didn't have any help this year, all boats safe and well packed with foam between.
Car is also full.

Don't forget, Sunday and Monday, gates open at 10.00am on both days.
I can be found in the model marquee if anyone wants to chat, I usually have at least 4 tables of models on show. Sadly this year owing to health issues my wife won't be exhibiting her collection of vintage model lorries and buses. So it's just me and my dog.

Good evening to one and all, this coming Sunday and bank holiday Monday the Abergavenny Steam and vintage show is on, I have been displaying my models here for 25+ years.
So if your at a lose end and able to visit, I can heartily recommend it, under 16's are free, over 16 it's £10.
I will be in the model marquee on both days if you want a chat.
