Hi Phil, - did have a look at these RC foiling tri's but they are very touchy, not to mention expensive to build, and experiment intensive (think I put a link somewhere a few years back) Very susceptible to foil damage as well. Most videos I've seen on them show them running in quite strong steady winds, as they don't seem to sail well in light winds. Quite impressive all the same,- would be interesting to see a bunch of them sailing.

I think they would need the wing mast set-up to perform properly, as the wing sails generate their own wind, and have different characteristics to a standard rig. I am thinking of a cat for a future project, (possibly glass on foam) - maybe a copy of the 18ft 'A' class I had.
