Stephen the site owner was doing 3 d printed sets of fittings etc, why not ask him? he used my boat some years ago as a template for them. I bought a set of white metal fittings, they where dreadful, weighted a ton, and really bad, they went in the bin and I made my own

Hi Westward I contacted Vintage model works about the availability of fittings for the 46 Crash tender and this was Michaels response -
Regarding the fittings there seems to be some mis-information we can and have always supplied fittings for the 46" Crash Tender but not the 34" model I recently was asked for accessories for the 34" model and they were told that they were not available this may have been misinterpreted and then passed on.
So if its for the 46" they are available

Hi Westward

Thanks for the offer but I think I’m going to put some money into the sites online shop, as all the bits needed are 1:16 which is exactly what I’m after for my 34” version.
I’m also thinking of putting my 46” version full set of white metal fittings up for sale on here - no mast though.
Cheers for thinking of me 😀

I've some bits fire hydrants and bits give me a list happy to help by the way I have gone with a pump on the esc but use one in point with a splitter on it , as I do not want it to get hot stationary and since the boat is wood I've mounted it on a bit of Bakelite board comes working in a old mine the stores are full of useful stuff

thats who I contacted they have changed there name from Vintage model boat shop to vintage model works and they said they hadn't any parts for the 46 inch Raf tender perhaps you will release a master as the mast is the bit that gets broken easiest esp on the 46 not the 34 that this site stocks

Hi Colin,

I’d be really interested in the plans for the 34” foldable mast as I’m missing mine……. Oh and many other bits 😊

Cheers Neil

If your boat is the 34 inch version then I could post pictures of my plan for making a folding version as on the real boat.
See photos for what it looks like.
Let me know and I'll find my plans to scan and post.
Cheers Colin.

My RAF fire tender is powered by a Mtronlks hydra 50 motor with water cooling, (photo attached) the boat is powered by a lipo 5200mah batter giving a run time off about 25 minutes
The fire crew are Logo men.

This site was originally The Fireboat Website largely devoted to the RAF Crash Tenders of the 1950's and earlier era.
There is a reference section under Plans& Docs still on this site as well as many build blogs if you type search for "Crash Tender".
All the information you require is freely available so please take time to view what is available.
Regarding advertisers I'm sure they all need all the help and support we as modellers can provide. The recent lockdowns and world events have disrupted many supply chains so perhaps we should expect to experience a few shortages in the short term. I doubt it would help anyone were they to stop advertising altogether.
Hope you can find answers to all the issues with your build.

I have a Aerokit 46" 12 scale RAF fire crash tender, is this to the same scale as your boat?
The mast on mine is 12cm high x 9 cm at the arm.
I have attached photographs of the mast on my boat.
Hope this helps.
