New Glue on the Block

Hi Ship mates,
Actually used this new glue today and it is basically a clone of Gorilla glue, but is more liquid, expands more than Gorilla glue so don't need to use so much, spreads easily, seem to dry a bit faster.

Brought from Amazon UK but cost £20 for 2x 500 ml. May be better to buy direct from manufacturer.

also bear in mind that this type of glue expands as it cures so keep this in mind if you are joining thin walled joints as it cause the mating surfaces to deform. It certainly a strong adhesive but beware of Roy, CB90 precautions

New Glue on the Block

Hi Bassman1975,
I don't think it is aliphatic glue, which is like a runny PVA (Polyvinyl acetate), Aliphatic resin glue is chemically similar to PVA (white glue), but it is chemically modified to make it stronger and more waterproof.

The original Gorilla Glue is a water activated(vaper in the air will cue it) polyurethane formula expands into materials to form an incredibly strong bond. it has the consistency look of Golden Syrup / Maple Syrup. can be messy impossible to remove from hands, wears off eventually, carries warnings of cancer causing properties so wear gloves and try not to breath in fumes.

Need to remove foamed excess glue once hard with a Stanley knife or equivalent if you want a tidy finish

That could be good timing, is it aliphatic glue?

Thanks

Found a new glue (to me that is!).
I seems to be a type of Gorilla glue, have yet to use it, but it's about half the price of Gorilla glue, I paid £20 for 2x 500ml.
