Just had a lot bit of luck. I went to one of the plastic suppliers today and I had some .062 styrene matte white sheet in stock. Although they had a high minimum order they did have a piece that had a few mars on it, nothing really bad, almost perfect. It just looked dusty. They gave it to me for nothing. Real nice guys. This is a 4x8 foot sheet so I should get several boats out of it.

Thanks for the tip's and thoughts guys. I had second thoughts on this After looking at the model's cabin and starting to patch up all the holes and having to modify the structure to be correct and the latest I decided that if I can get some 1/16 inch styrene I would do better to make a new cabin from scratch. I was able to get the roof off (with a few holes) the current cabin. The main part should be easy to make but the roof has compound curves. Also, both sides look symmetrical so when I make them by stacking the sides and drilling through.

In fact, I just noticed that there are five windows on the front of the real boat, not the three the model has, plus they are not as tall. There are numerous other mistakes on the model and it looks like the more I look at it the more I find.

This project is like stepping in quicksand.

What you could try is Tamiya do something called lexan body restorer it will clean the paint up and I think fine scratches but not sure on the glue
The robbe pt 15 also has the same superstructure type moulding aswell not that that helps .

Hi , in the big boat world i have successfully used on Perspex and canopy flexible windows Starbrites Clear plastic scratch remover on Amazon at about £22 for parts one and two works well and lasts , not cheapest option, also have had limited success with Solvol autosol and liquid brasso on cotton wool. Hi I think the answer is No. I would be pleased to know this myself.

However what might help is to use a transparent paint. I know that sounds wrong but I have seen various colours of this paint in a local craft shop. It gives a film of colour you can see through. I suggest a pale blue might take the eye away from any scratches.

If the material were thicker it could be rubbed down with an appropriate very fine garnishing paper and then polished, that maybe worth a try.
Another thought occurs to me, that you cut out new windows and stick them over the scratched ones. It could be the glue between would fill the scratches and they might then not show.

There are special glues that do not haze over when joining plastic surfaces. Windscreens on cars have a middle layer of plastic which I have always assumed was glued in place. Happy to be corrected on this point.
